How to learn by playing with teacher generated games? JagrutibenAtara mentioned that she has made many indoor and outdoor games while playing that students can learn with fun. She started with demonstrating one game from cards. The playing cards that are available in every home. She mentioned that anyone can make this type of game at home from simple cards. In this 52 cards write down the spellings. 1 spelling repeated in the 4 cards. from that ""DhagalaBaji"" game can be played in which 2 students can play and have to put cards one aher another if the same

 

spelling comes then the whole bunch of cards will be his and start fresh. The most important thing is speaking spellings. The second game that can be played is Biscuit Baji in that all 52 cards will be divided equally between all players then they have to make pairs of similar spellings. With lehover cards, they will fetch one card from each other in rotation and try to make other pairs. At the end, the person who completes pairs with all available cards will win the game. In this also speaking spelings is compulsory for all while playing. Through this type of card games, she mentioned that 8-10 learning outcomes can be cleared in the student and they can learn not only Englishbut any language while playing. KesarisinhRathva mentioned game called colorcolor in which one can one has to touch the

thing of color, whichhas been mentioned. It’s a color identi?cation game for std 1 and 2 students. at home also they can play this type of games he mentioned. WhatsApp through also this type of games can be given to children. Second game by JagrutiAtara Bingo/Housie Game. This can be played at home and school also. Ask students to draw square boxes in the book. In this any topic like past tenses, antonyms, synonyms can be included. The write 20 words on board or give in WhatsApp message. Then teacher will speak one by one words and students have to write past tense word in the box. Then teacher will start speaking past tense words of already given words and if student have wrote it in the book then they will make round on it. And the ?rst student who gets all words correct and rounded will be announced as a winner of the game. This can be played at home with the help of parents too. Kesarisinhrathva also mentioned some games of student concentrations - ""GandhijiKahe"". Teacher will give instruction Gandhijikahe hands up, then students will move up their hands. If gandhijikahe word will not spoken then they will not follow the instructions so this is how students have to pay attention to the instructions that if GandhijiKahe word is spoken then only one has to follow the instruction otherwise not. This type of other games also mentioned by both the teachers like Ludo, Snake and ladder comprising concepts of maths and science too. These gamescan be played easily at home on simple paper. A teacher from Vasavda Primary school asked a question that what are the other games which can be played indoor for maths. Kesari Singh mentioned that there are many songs that he has prepared for maths for std 1 and 2. He sung one song and using it in classroom. Then all three panellist played one game and demonstrated the process. Then Kesari Singh sung 3-4 songs and mentioned learning outcomes connected to it. Then Jagrutiben demonstrated one game for 5-8 std. students. The game is based on carom board. minimum 4 and maximum 8 students can play together. useful for english and math subject. she has also demonstrated some games on Sanskrit also and mentioned that in 6 to 8 std when Sanskrit subject introduced it can be made easy with Sanskrit games also. She demonstrated some games related to shapes and puzzles also.

Sanket then asked panellists that what kind of games can be given on WhatsApp and phone that can be played at home. KesarisinhRathva mentioned that we can record videos showing all these games and send in groups of teachers and students so they can see it understand and if want to play then play at home. Other one example of game given by Jagrutiben is give one big spelling in group to students and ask them to create as many as spelling they can by using same alphabets are there in the given spelling. Sanket mentioned that the games demonstrated by teachers here it can be used in multiple topics and subjects according to requirement of students and teachers.
